A few weeks ago I found out that the Garnier BB Cream has landed in Kuwait. Knowing how hyped BB creams are, I decided to give this one a go after seeing many positive reviews online on the product.
This BB cream claims that it evens out the skin tone, hydrates the skin (like a moisturiser), renews and brightens it, and comes with an SPF of 15. A 5 in 1 product. The consistency of it is, well, creamy and light. It feels refreshing on the skin and smells really nice, yet not overpowering.
The cream does not, however, act like a foundation- no BB cream does that. It provides very, very minimal coverage which is not enough for my skin because it is filled with imperfections. It would work great on its own on women who have great skin, but for those like me, foundation on top of it is necessary. It leaves a very healthy and glowing look on the skin, yet it does not look greasy.
I apply it in the morning on top of my skin primer, although this BB cream could definitely be used without it. I notice an instant moisture to my skin, and since this has SPF 15 in it, I do not need to apply moisturiser and SPF any more. This acts as both. Another thing about its application is that I don't recommend using it at night. Anything with an SPF is meant to protect your skin against sun rays (which are a prime cause in wrinkles later in life) and if you apply SPF at night, you're just feeding your skin chemicals that it does not need. At night I only use a light moisturiser before applying makeup.
All in all, I think this BB cream is really good for those of you who are looking to try it out. Having no prior experience to BB creams, I don't really have anything to compare it to, but I can honestly say that I do like it. In Kuwait, you can get it in Jabriya Co-Op for 3.5 KD. I'm sure more supermarkets carry it, but I haven't been to any others so I can't say for sure.
I hope you found this post helpful.
