Tired of always using the same makeup, I bought quite a bit of new products in the month of May. Variety is always good, right?
Here are the products that I reached for the most during last month, and continue to add in my daily routine till today.
The infamous Falsies mascara from Maybelline. Hated this stuff at first, but I think it's because I layered it with other mascaras. However, once I started just wearing 2 coats of this mascara alone, it worked perfectly. Love this stuff.
Yves Saint Laurent Touch Eclat concealer. I got kind of talked into buying this by an annoying sales lady, but now I'm so glad I did! It's got a pinky tone to it and it works amazingly well on my under-eye bags and doesn't crease. Totally worth the price tag.
I'll admit.. I haven't ever worn sunscreen on my face before. Basically, I've been inviting premature wrinkles to my face for the past 23 years. I do have an excuse, though! All the other sunscreens that I have tried were oil-based, and putting them on my already oily skin made me looked like my face was melting. This one by Neutrogena is oil-free, and has SPF 45. Win.
Urban Decay's Naked Basics. I got this baby for travel purposes, but I've used it every single day since I bought it. The shades Naked 2 and Faint are perfect for filling in my brows, and the colors in general are beautiful. I've worn this palette alone on my eyes numerous times and it's by far my most versatile palette after my beloved Naked 2.
Why have I never used a MAC Paintpot before?! I fell in love with this color and instantly grabbed it. It's a perfect base for eyeshadow, but I've also been wearing it alone on my lids with some eye liner and mascara.
MAC lipstick in Creme Cup. I'm not even going to say anything about it. Just LOOK at it! Beautiful shade.
NYX eyeshadow in Hot Pink and blush in Espresso.
Even though the eyeshadow is super pigmented, it can be used subtly on the lids if you apply a bit of it on your brush. I've worn it a lot this past month along with the Naked Basics shadows. It's also good as a blush!
The Espresso blush I got by mistake.. I swatched a tester for Terracotta (similar shade but darker, and shimmery) and grabbed the next sealed blush behind it thinking it was Terracotta. I was pissed at first. I thought that the sales people would check that the correct tester was placed by the correct merchandise. Tried it out at home, and lo and behold, I love it. I've also been given lots of compliments by people who have been telling me how natural it looks.

Look out for the end of June to see if I feature any new products. :)
