A visit to Figs by Todd English

Yet another food post! What can I say, food is good. Better than most things in life.

I have been very curious about a newly opened restaurant in Mall 360 due to the raving reviews it has gotten so far. So I dragged along a few friends and we tried Figs together for the first time. I thought that going there on a Thursday night would mean it would be packed and very noisy, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that only a few tables were occupied and we were seated immediately.

The drinks looked pretty so I obviously took pictures.

Strawberry drink (I'm terrible with memorizing names):

Peach iced tea:

I ordered the wild mushroom ricotta-stuffed ravioli.
The ravioli was good and well cooked, and the mushrooms tasted great. The only downside was that I thought the dish would have been bigger, for the sole reason that I was very hungry. I therefore think that ordering this with an appetizer would be ideal.

Two of my friends got this badboy, I forgot what it's called but it was buttery pasta with bacon. I've never had bacon with pasta before, but my friends said it was really good, so you'll have to take their word for it.

Next time I go I want to try their pizzas, because they sounded delicious on the menu. I really recommend a trip there- good food, good service, and the servers come around to check if you need anything else throughout the meal and ask if everything is okay with your food. Always good in my food books.

You can find Figs at 360 for now, opposite to Wagamama, but I hear that they will be opening up another branch at the Avenues. My advice? If you want a quiet lunch or dinner skip on the Avenues branch because that mall is always fully packed, whereas 360's is really cozy and nice.

Let me know if you pay them a visit!
