Am I the only one who hates having the same thing for breakfast every day? I've totally been turned off of eating cereal and oatmeal, so instead I started my own little experiments. I needed something that would help me through long mornings before lunchtime, but also something that was easy to make and calorie-friendly.
This is when the superman sandwich was born. He's a babe. Take a look.
Super easy to make, and delicious. I've been making different variations of this sandwich for breakfast ever since I started my weight loss journey.
This particular 'wich is simply made out of a piece of toasted whole-wheat bread, a bed of avocado and salt mash, and a poached egg (fried works great too, just don't scramble it, or it will fall all over you). I add extra salt and hot sauce to mine for an extra kick.
Eggs are an awesome source of high quality proteins and amino acids, healthy fats, vitamin D, sulphur and endless minerals. They also fill you up, so you won't feel like snacking an hour later.
Avocados, on the other hand, are loaded with vitamins A, C, D, E, K and the B vitamins, as well as potassium and omega-3 fatty acids. This super food has also been proven to help fight heart disease and cancer.
